Hotel and Country Inn Fischer was built around 1835 and extended over the years.
As it was situated on the „Judengasse“ (Jews Lane) it was commonly called „To the Jewish Innkeeper“.
In the early 1900s the inn was taken over by the Fischer Family who added a butcher’s shop and guest rooms.
Since then the butcher’s shop has made way for a modern baker’s shop.
In 2006 the outside of the building was entirely renovated and the historical facade renewed to a contemporary standard.
Hotel Fischer in Altenstadt is situated beween the towns of Ulm and Memmingen and near Illertissen, close to the A7 motorway, which makes it an ideal starting point for short excursions to the Allgaeu and the surrounding countryside.
